8 Minutes of Awesome

Have you ever had that moment…

When you meet someone for the first time and it feels like you were just waiting until the two of you finally crossed paths on this Earthly journey?

That is how I felt when I met Jennifer from MyMetaWorld.com.

To be honest, I’m not even sure how she found me… how she located my phone number. But one day last December, she picked up the phone and called me. And within a matter of minutes, we knew we would somehow work together… somehow do great work together.

And our friendship and our collaborations are still evolving!

Most recently, she invited me to participate in 8 Minutes of Awesome – a candid and authentic video series where women and men from around the world share their journeys, passions, intentions and visions.

8 Minutes of Awesome

8 Minutes of Awesome is about creating connections through soulful conversations. It’s about sharing and listening to what lights your fire. It examines how we stay strong in tough times, what makes us feel the most vulnerable, and why we choose to do what we do.

8 Minutes of Awesome is about sharing your voice, sharing your message, changing someone’s life, and being part of the evolution.

In the past…

In the past, I would have spent hours getting ready for the interview. I would have showered, blow dried my hair, applied makeup, reviewed interview questions, and try to memorize “professional” answers. I also would have bought and put on a new “professional” looking top and would have moved my computer so I had the most professional looking background.

But not this time.

This time, I let my inner Stacey shine. My hair was wild from sleeping on it wet the night before. Instead of wearing “professional” makeup, I showered my eyelids with silver glitter. Instead of reviewing the questions she sent me (and instead of preparing my answers)… I spent 30 minutes before the call quieting my mind in meditation. And instead of finding the most professional background, I plopped down on the floor next to my bed, lit my favorite candle, and burned some incense.

I wasn’t pretending to be someone I was not. I sat in empty presence and allowed the answers to flow through me. I was simply ME.

8 Minutes of Awesome

My 8 Minutes of Awesome interview will premiere in August.

Thank you Jennifer, for giving me the opportunity to share my story, my voice, and my message.
