Celebrating My Gratitude Attitude

I was so relieved to know my gratitude journal was waiting for me when I returned from paradise earlier this week. It has been helping me appreciate all that I have in my real world as I continue to heal my broken heart from leaving my vacation paradise.

Here are my gratitude journal entries for the week.

  1. My day job
  2. My vacation
  3. I don’t have a mortgage
  4. Listening to my children laugh together
  5. Canoeing in the mangroves with my parents
  6. Welcome back messages I received this week
  7. Amazing and loving people helping my children learn and grow

And a moment to self acknowledge. I acknowledge myself for…

  1. Being in the moment with my tears.
  2. Listening to what the tears are telling me.
  3. Slowly entering back into the world of blogging.
  4. Calling a personal trainer this week to gain additional accountable.
  5. Reaching out to a marketing coach so I can build a juicy marketing strategy to fill my Hungry for Balance Online Retreat.

This is Your Moment to Shine!

As always, I welcome you to reflect on your week, see the
goodness in your life, and share what you are grateful for
and what you are self acknowledging in the comments section.

  • Hi Stacey. Yayyy, I’m glad you’re Celebrating Your Life — better late than never *smile*. It is hard for a lot of people to be with their tears but you have, and from what I can see, with a lot of compassion for yourself. One of my sisters will NOT allow herself to cry. When we would watch a movie together, she would get up and leave the room if a teary part came up. Crying is a great release. And… thanks for sharing The Quote Effect here too!

I love that you embraced your tears. I am grateful that my husband still loves me, even when I am not acting very lovable. I am also grateful for an imagination that allows me to imagine what it must be like to walk down the red carpet at the Oscars! 🙂

  • Davina – Let’s give everyone permission to be still with their tears. Tears are hard to face but bring secrets from the soul.

Ivan – I am also grateful for the power to connect with like-minded people. Cheers for the blogosphere!

    Hi Stacy,

I love that you embrcaed your tears…

I am grateful for two days of watching my son surf plus getting in some beautiful walks on the beach. I am grateful that each time I am online there are so many loving and kind people online.

  • Hi Stacey,

    Cheers,

Glen Allsopp´s last blog post..Be the Light that Gives Others Permission to Shine

  • This post made me smile. I hope that you continue to do this for a very long time, Stacey. I really like reading about what you do.

It’s been a difficult week for me, because my wife was out of town for 2 /12 days, leaving me with the kids. (Two seventy pound babies, one is part Chow, and the other one has black spots)

I’m very grateful for the praise that people have given me for my writing recently. It really is great to be encouraged along the path as you as try to discover yourself, and how to create a better living.

  • Glen – Hi! The purpose of my gratitude list is to move others to start their own list. I love your “be the light” post. It really sums up my Celebrate Your Life Friday Series…by putting a shining light on my own life I hope to give people permission to celebrate their lives via gratitude and self-acknowledgement.

Trey – I am grateful that my words made you smile and I acknowledge you for embracing all of the praise you are receiving. Drink it up!

  • I had my cousin with who I had not been in touch for over a couple of decades visit me with her son and she brought with her a DVD of her daughter’s achievements. I have blogged about it and I am very grateful and happy that we reestablished contact after so many years. This was made possible by my father coming to live with us and I am grateful for that development also.
