“When you’re finished changing, you’re finished.”
~ Benjamin Franklin~

One of the things I love about social media is the freedom I have to evolve as a blogger. I’m not stuck in a box or a cubicle. I’m free to explore and learn and evolve. And that is exactly what I’m doing.

I’m saying goodbye to MomRenewal.com and honor the birth of EvolvingStacey.com. Here’s a snapshot of where I’ve been and where I’m going with this blog.

February 2008

When I wrote my very first blog post back in February, 2008, the URL was CreateaBalance.com. This was my intention:

“The intention of the www.createabalance.com website is to help women balance the demands of being everything to everyone while not losing themselves, their needs, and their passions in the process. It will also provide valuable information to women who want to start their own website so they can share their life’s purpose with other women around the world. Since it has taken me 3 years to get here, I figure the least I can do is share lessons learned so other women can benefit from having a shorter learning curve.”

Interesting.

November 2008

I wrote my #1 viewed blog post E-V-E-R!  Top Ten Signs I May Always Look Pregnant.

August 2009

In August of 2009, I declared a new direction for CreateaBalance.com, when I wrote:

“I am harnessing and listening to my natural intuition so this day forward CreateaBalance.com will focus specifically on helping moms create balance in their lives.”

March 2010

I changed the name of this blog and my online identity from CreateaBalance to MomRenewal in March of 2010. My new intention was to slow down, connect with my natural inner wisdom, and examine what self-renewal means to me.

Oops…

I forgot to slow down.

April 2010

In April of 2010 I invited inspiring moms across the blogosphere to write for the Mom Renewal Project. Over the past 12 months I’ve had over 20 contributing writers.

November 2010 – March 2011

I stopped finding time for my writing practice. I started feeling like I was always behind on my blog instead of simply enjoying the writing process. I started having writers block.

Today

My new blog, EvolvingStacey.com, is emerging. The Triple Spiral LabyrinthI’m excited to explore new areas of wellness and spirituality through yoga, meditation, physical movement, and mindful eating. I’m over joyed to meet and interview like-minded souls in the Chicago area who share the same passions and dreams as I do – to live life to the fullest.

Most recently I met Steffani and Carol from Positive Focus, which is a 501c3 non-profit organization headquartered in Chicago. Their passion and purpose is to share the impact of positivity on living life fulfilled by providing inspiring, empowering, and enriching mind-body-spirit, service-charity, and fun-social events allowing each person to see love over fear, abundance over lack, diversity over differences, and peace over conflict.

Positive Focus

Steffani Fort LeFevour, Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy, and Carol Cece Miller

I’m so excited for my new adventures. Some of my new blog categories will include:

  • Evolving Mom
  • Evolving Family
  • Evolving Green
  • Evolving Body
  • Evolving Spirit
  • Evolving Reviews

I hope you’ll join me on this journey!

  • Stacey,
As I read this today….my heart smiles. And that’s because I sense, very much, that you’re coming from a place of deep meaning for you. And what a wonderful place that is to “be”…

It’s been such an honor to be along with you on this journey (for most of these last three years!), to have created a friendship, and to soak in the beauty of your words (and more than that….the beauty of your soul).

…and I so look forward the the story that continues to unfold, as you evolve even more fully into the true you…
