Family Travel with Grace and Ease - Tuckerton, New Jersey

While visiting Tuckerton, New Jersey, my family spent the day at Jersey Shore’s maritime heritage museum – checking out the exhibits, exploring the boardwalk and nature trail, watching live demonstrations, playing mini-golf, and enjoying the Privateers & Pirates Festival.

Tuckerton Seaport is a great year round family destination to enjoy all things maritime! It is truly a one-of-a-kind attraction on the Jersey Shore that brings authentic traditions from the past to life through people, demonstrations, exhibits and hands-on activities. To plan your visit and learn more upcoming festivals, go to TuckertonSeaport.org.

We stayed in a cabin at the STuckertonea Pirate Campground, which had a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and small living space with a futon a twin bunk beds. My kids did use the TV, but most of the time we were outside on the porch, around the fire, at the pool, or playing around the campground.

TuckertonAfter spending most of the day at the Tuckerton Seaport Museum (Historic Maritime Village), we explored Seven Bridges Road – a beautiful designated wildlife sanctuary.

The day ended by the fire, roasting marshmallows, talking about our favorite parts of our days, and giving thanks for our wonderful weekend getaway.

FUN was had by all.
