I just got off the one of the best Love Talk Calls with the Love Club, Christine Arylo, and Shiloh Sophia McCloud. Yes, I know I say all the Love Talk calls are the best…but each of them simply are amazing. Here are some of my favorite take aways from the call…
- You have a choice to turn your life into a legendary life.
- One of the greatest ways to open your heart is to be in a state of WONDER.
- We all have a wild side inside of us that wants to come out to play. Often that wild part of you is repressed to fit into society.
So in honor of self-expression, I had an aha moment during the call. I think I hide some of my wildness because it makes my husband uncomfortable…as if he wished I wasn’t really this caged wild child.
This wild child is ready for her next adventure!
Shiloh shared this beautiful + powerful poem that I want to share with you. It’s called Just Dare. Read it. Embrace it. Then take one bold act of self expression. Oh – and enjoy every step along the way.
Just Dare
by Shiloh Sophia McCloud
Dare to re-invent yourself
even when you don’t know
what that looks like yet.
Dare to dream bigger than
you feel comfortable dreaming.
Dare to love unreasonably,
even if you have been hurt.
Dare to practice radical self love
even when you aren’t sure how.
Dare to practice big compassionate love
for others, even those you don’t know.
Dare to say yes to your own self
even when your life or family or friends
don’t see it that way.
Dare to not let fear get in your way,
and when it does, dare to keep moving forward.
Dare to be the most you that you can be
while daring to accepting yourself as you are.
Dare to discover what beautiful means,
to you and only you.
Dare to call yourself an artist, a poet, a dreamer,
a thinker, a revolutionary…
and then dare to take passionate action.
Dare to take risks that make you feel hopeful
even when you don’t know how it will all work.
Dare be a colorful woman, and dance alone.
Dare to live. Dare to love. Dare to laugh.
Dare to not get it right.
Dare to live in amazing grace.
Are You Willing to Dare?
As we begin a new season next week, my new morning affirmation is now going to be…
I am daring to re-invent myself even when you don’t know what that looks like yet. I am daring to dream bigger than I feel comfortable dreaming. I dare to love unreasonably, even if I have been hurt. I dare to practice radical self love, even when I’m not sure how. I dare to practice big compassionate love for others, even those I don’t know. I dare to say yes to my own self even when my life or family or friends don’t see it that way. I dare to not let fear get in my way, and when it does, I dare to keep moving forward. I dare to be the most me that I can be while daring to accepting myself as I am. I dare to discover what beautiful means, to me and only me. I dare to call myself an artist, a poet, a dreamer, a thinker, a revolutionary…and then I dare to take passionate action. I dare to take risks that make me feel hopeful even when I don’t know how it will all work. I dare be a colorful woman and dance alone. I dare to live. I dare to love. I dare to laugh. I dare to not get it right. And I dare to live in amazing grace.
Sending you all the permission and strength you need to dare beyond your wildest imagination.
