I have been failing miserably in the realm of staying organized. I think I hit rock bottom last week when the Staying Organized section of my June life balance report went something like this “I’m speechless and still a disaster”.

That sentence made me realize that the time to take action is now! I have been thinking about the mission of Create a Balance, which is to help myself and others incorporate a balanced set of passions into our lives to give us the mental bandwidth to live our lives each day with intention. My lack of home organization has definitely been slowing down my mental bandwidth and has created more than enough hurdles for my quest to live intentionally each and every day.

I have realized that it does take a village for me to practice the art of life balance. So…I have called in the professionals for help. Tomorrow I am having a professional organizer come to my house to help me with my “clutter zones”.

I recognize that if I shift my perspective, having some clutter zones in my home is a blessing. It means I have a home and it makes me realize how fortunate I am that keeping my clutter under control is one of my biggest problems. I recognize millions of women would love to trade problems with me. When I think about everything going on in the world, the women around the world (and just down the street) just trying to find shelter and food for their children, I actually feel squeamish to be blogging about my clutter zones.

I’m excited to meet my professional organizer and feel guilty that I am blessed enough to hire one.
